One login runs it all.
One login runs the heating job, the business, and your online presence — built for UK heating, not adapted from a generic trades app.
Your core team. One flat price.
We charge per firm, not per engineer. Standard is £49 a month with 5 engineers included — the same team on a typical per-user plan (~£23–£30 each) runs about £115–£150. Need more? Each extra engineer is just £12 on Standard (£30 on Professional) — a fraction of per-user rivals. Talk to us above 25.

The Engineering Toolkit
The room-by-room heat-loss surveyor and the on-site calculators below are live today, with the maths run on our servers and checked against the standards. Each one is a working aid that supports — never replaces — your own checks against the standards (BS 6891, BS 5440 and the rest) and your Gas Safe competence.
Gas rate & heat input
Burner heat input from a timed meter reading — metric or imperial, gross or net.
BS 6891 pipe sizing
Size gas runs with pressure-drop limits so the appliance gets its working pressure.
Combustion air ventilation
Free-air vent sizing for the appliance and the room it sits in.
Expansion vessel & DHW cylinder
Right-size the vessel for the system volume and the cylinder for the household.
Chemical dosing
Inhibitor or cleaner dose by the system volume. (IGEM/UP/1 purge volumes are coming soon.)
Room-by-room heat-loss surveyor
Walk the property, capture each room, and build a heat-loss survey for sizing and quotes.
Win the Heat-Pump Job
From the first quote to the grant paperwork — know the property, check the grant, and land on the right portal with your details ready.
EPC lookup & auto-prefill
Pull the property’s official EPC — band, floor area, fabric — straight from the government register into your heat-loss survey and grant check. Where a registered EPC exists, you know the property before you knock.
Boiler Upgrade Scheme checker
An indicative BUS check with the current grant amounts — £7,500 air- and ground-source, £2,500 air-to-air, £5,000 biomass. Clearly indicative: Ofgem decides, and your MCS-certified installer makes the claim.
Submission Assistant
When the job’s ready to register, jump to the right official portal — BUS, MCS, Gas Safe or Building Control — with the steps, deadlines and your job details laid out ready to copy across. You submit; nothing is sent for you.

AI That Actually Works
The clever bits that save real time — and every call runs through an EU-resident, GDPR-governed AI gateway, so your customers’ personal data never leaves the EU.
- Ask Mate.A chat assistant that answers from your own jobs, quotes, invoices and customers — and cites the records it used. It doesn’t browse the web or give gas-safety or regulatory advice. Solo plan and up.
- Snap-and-fill OCR. Photograph a business card, a van graphic, or a page from your handwritten diary, and we read it into customer cards and appointments.
- Review-first social drafts. Finish a job and we draft a tidy before/after post for you to check and approve — never auto-posted without you.
- EU data residency. Inference runs on EU-resident models with a data-class guardrail, and every request is logged for cost and governance.

Geofenced Part L Audits & Sealed Files
UK Building Regulations require photographic evidence of heat upgrades. Pipework HQ automates this directly from your phone in the field:
- GPS Location Verification: Checks that photos are taken within 200m of the property boundaries to pass auditing.
- Device Metadata Stripping: Scrubs camera model numbers and phone identification variables to support GDPR data compliance.
- Tamper-Proof Seal: Automatically seals the finished photo collection with a cryptographic hash (SHA-256 seal) preventing revisions.
Run the Day-to-Day

Sequential Invoicing
Create sequential HMRC-compliant invoices. Locks invoice IDs to ensure no missing gaps or deletions—making UK VAT Notice 700/22 tax audits stress-free.
Gas Safe Certificates & Records
Create professional CP12s, digital Benchmark logs and safety certs, and capture the details to register manufacturer warranties.

Your core team, one flat price.
Five engineers are included on one flat price — then each extra engineer is a fraction of per-user rivals. All prices exclude VAT.
Your core five included, then a low per-engineer rate
Many trade apps charge for every login — typically around £23–£30 per user, per month (Gas Engineer Software is one example of per-user pricing). With PipeworkHQ your core team of five is included on one flat price, and each engineer after that is a fraction of what per-user rivals charge.
Standard — £49/month, 5 engineers included
One flat price for your first five. The same five on a typical per-user plan would be about £115–£150 a month (5 × £23–£30). Each extra engineer is just £12 a month.
Professional — £129/month, 5 engineers included
Five included on one flat price, then £30 per extra engineer a month — still well below the £25–£100 per user that rivals charge. Above 25 engineers, talk to us.

How We Compare
We’re not the cheapest at every size — at one or two engineers, per-seat tools can undercut us. Where we win decisively: five engineers on one flat price, a low per-engineer rate after that, and heat-pump design built in.
| Team size | PipeworkHQ | Tradify | Powered Now | Commusoft | Joblogic | Payaca |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 engineer | £29–49 | ~£34 | ~£28–40 | ~£55 (4-seat min) | £45 | Not offered |
| 3 engineers | £49 flat (all 5 included) | ~£84 | ~£96 | £165+ | £135 | Not offered |
| 6 engineers | £61 (£49 + 1 × £12) | ~£168 | ~£192 | £330 | £270 | Not offered |
| Heat-pump installer | £129 (design included) | Not offered | Not offered | Not offered | Not offered | £999/mo + £1,500 setup |
Indicative competitor prices per month, excluding VAT, from publicly listed plans at the time of writing; check each provider for current pricing. “Not offered” means the product does not offer that scenario. PipeworkHQ prices exclude VAT.
Five engineers on one flat price
We charge per firm, not per user. Per-seat rivals (typically ~£23–£30 per user a month) get more expensive with every hire. Your core five are included on one flat price — at six engineers it’s £61 on Standard versus £168–£330 elsewhere. Beyond five, each extra engineer is just £12 (Standard) or £30 (Professional) a month, and above 25 we’ll tailor a managed plan.
Heat-pump design included
Heat-loss and system design is built into Professional at £129. The nearest heat-pump rival, Payaca, lists its Growth plan at £999 a month billed annually (£1,199 month-to-month) plus a £1,500 one-off onboarding fee; a £299/month first-year plan exists for newly incorporated MCS firms (payaca.com pricing, June 2026).
Compliance breadth + EU-resident AI
The full UK certificate suite plus two shipped AI tools — OCR snap-and-fill and review-first social drafting — running on an EU-resident, GDPR-governed gateway. That’s how Solo and Standard win on value, not lowest price.
